New online gambling deposit limits of €200 per week (per poker site) come into effect from October 20th
The Belgian Gambling Commission Kansspelcommissie – Commission des jeux de hasard (CJH), has announced that new player spending limits for online gambling will come into effect as of October 20th, 2022.
Previously the maximum deposit limit for online gamblers in Belgium was €500 per week per individual gambling website – now reduced to €200.
Online poker site PokerStars sent the following communications to their customers:
The weekly deposit limit for players in Belgium is changing.
From October 20, players in your region will have a weekly deposit limit of €200. This will apply to all players, even those who are currently exempt from the existing limit of €500.
In-line with Belgian regulations, this limitation will apply across all our deposit methods. You also won’t be able to remove or increase this limit.
We’ll also be updating our End User License Agreement to reflect this change. You’ll be asked to accept the terms next time you log into your account.
Remember, you can still set your own deposit limits. This amount can’t be higher than the limit we automatically impose on your account.
According to the announcement
Only persons who are not registered as defaulters with the Central Individual Credit Register of the National Bank may request the lifting of this limit
