The first major international poker festival of 2021 has been announced with the release of the 2021 World Series Of Poker Europe (WSOPE) schedule.
Between November 19 and December 8, 15 coveted WSOP bracelets will be up for grabs at King’s Casino in Rozvadov. The tournament series offers buy-ins which range between €350 and €50,000 – and eye-watering prize-pools.
The WSOPE Main Event will be held from December 3 to 8, with a €10,350 entry fee and a €5 million guarantee. Alexandros Kolonais won the WSOPE main event in 2019 for €1,133,678, defeating a field of 541 players.
Because of the schedule changes induced by the current global health pandemic there will be no break in bracelet events from now on.
WSOP.com is currently hosting an online series in the United States, GGPoker will host online events beginning in August, and the WSOP in Vegas will begin in September and run until the start of the WSOPE. When the first WSOPE events begin, the WSOP Main Event will still be taking place in Las Vegas.
The series offers 15 events compared to 29 events in the 2019 edition of the WSOPE.
There has been no word on online satellites, but given the WSOP’s existing relationship with GGPoker it is likely that qualifiers will run on the Good Game Network where it is also possible to play poker with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
